Most jobs, especially the good ones, are never advertised.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The trade job are not hard to find at all - we have a major shortage. Daily when I browse the help-wanted ads I see jobs which require some form of formal training.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The blue collar jobs of the past (plumber/carpenter) are much harder to find.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Then again, I'm a cook - and people will always have to eat.
